Hi,

I`ve tryed Brazil r/s. But the result was strange. I render scene with final render, while with some errors it renders 15 min. With brazil, it rendered one hour !!! with no errors but 1 hour.

Is Brazil really that slow? Or did I set up something wrong?
AA was 0,2 bounces 2, GI - fit to picture ration (or something like that)

hope anyone can help me. Version is , not sure, 0.2.26a

Thanx

There's a few problems...

1. You're using software that's probably close to 2 years old, if not more. The latest public version of Brazil is 0.4.53, and you can get it at http://www.splutterfish.com/download/Brazil_test_0_4_53.zip

2. Locking the GI shade rate to the image rate is a bad idea. You are basically over-sampling the GI solution, which is likely why it's taking an extremely long time. At most, I would use 0/0 for the GI shade rate, but normally I would use -3/0 or -2/0 for the min/max values. Then you just up the view rate samples to smooth out the image.

Yeah,

I`ve allready noticed it. But, when I set it on 0,1 (I`ll try 0,0), than it was 10% faster.

I`ll look to it in the evening. But, thanx for help :)
