Hi everyone

I would like to know how can I turbosmooth a part of an object without detaching it from the rest?

For instance, you have a Cube with some extrusion, and you just want to apply the turbosmooth in that specific extrusion.....what should I do?

Thanks

select those polygons then just apply the turbo smooth modifier to those polys.

Thanks, but that is what I thought......but it doesn´t work.

(Example) When I make a - Cube - convert to poly - make an extrusion in any face - select it - and then apply a turbosmooth - it affects all the object.

Any ideas......???

Thank you

TurboSmooth is always applied to the whole object, but you can use MeshSmooth on selected polys.

Thats correct, meshsmooth modifier then uncheck apply to whole mesh.

Alternatively you can smooth selected faces without a modifier by clicking on the MSmooth button in the Edit Geometry Rollout (Or pressing CTRL + M).

Or select your faces, apply a Vol.Select modifier and add a TurboSmooth.
