View Full Version : stage object_turn it off
Zoogie 06-25-2003, 07:33 PM Is there a way to turn off the stage object temporarily? I tried to put a stop tag on it but that didnt work.
Basically , I have animated cameras in a scene. Controlled by the stage object. I want to do some additional modeling with diferent cameras. whenever I move along the timeline, stage object takes over and puts my animated camera in view.
I currently work around by having a different viewport in perspective view and using the new cam.
I just wanted to know if there was a more efficient way.

if you clear all the feilds in it shouldnt it stop working? also you can copy paste it into another project and then delete it, then import it back in.
or do your modeling by alternatively copy pasting the object to be modeled and then re copypasting it back in.

Thanks JIII,
I have actually tried both of those suggestions at different times.I was hoping there was a faster, or more efficient way.
Yes, clearing the cameras from the stage object works but if I clear the cameras, then I have to write down on paper all the keys for all the cameras and then add them later. If you have 10 cameras, and do that a couple of times, it gets tiring very soon.
Also in this case I am building am creating a PLA on a spline based on other animation in the scene. So the copying and pasting into a different file and hen back is not as quick .
It would have been nice if there was a simpler solution like using a stop tag or other.
I guess for now we just have to do the work arounds.
Thanks for the suggestions.
is it a generator? you could just try turning all generators and expressions off.
