Cool. cool Cooool. Are you using the Advance release. How does it accomplish the M:S - MAX - M:S? I've was really worried that pmg would put getting the pipelines to other programs functioning way after Lightwave.
Could you please explain in a little detail how the pipeline works to Max? That is if you use Max, which I guess you do, since you wouldn't have posted otherwise.
Thanks,
Mahlon
I'll be soooooo glad when I can start using M:S.
Bye the way, is signing up for the advance still applicable? My license is just sitting here gathering dust.....until todays news.

As not to repeat
excerpt from Chewey:
===============================================
Right now, the way that messiah and 3D Studio Max work together is through Embedded Scenes.
What is an Embedded Scene?
An Embedded Scene is a scene file that contains the scene information for the host application (Max, Maya, etc.) and messiah all in one. Embedded Scenes are saved from the host application (not messiah).
==============================================
So to start, you add a modifier( via a messiah plugin for Max) within Max to your object and Messiah will launch and that object will appear within rev5 for animation etc.
That's it in a nutshell and without some of the details.
end quote.

Thanks for the answer. Just to clarify something for me.......so once your Max model is in Messiah and you animate, could you then return that animation to Max for rendering/Stitch/other plugins etc.?....say if you didn't want to render in Messiah.
I belong to the normal users group already. Do you have to sign up for Advance to join the advance user's group? I'm having the advance version shipped, because I'd really like to see what all you advance users are saying and doing.....and also to start messing around with Messiah :)
Thanks,
Mahlon

Once you register it, you can shoot email to them or they will to you and add you to the list.
I am not a Max user, but for LWers, you just see the character moving and deforming as you animated in M:S. Your textures and shaders were still intact and if you need to add other plugins, bump displacemt or hair, it worked.
