View Full Version : Topology tutorials?
pantoneenotnap 01-13-2009, 05:38 PM Hello all
I was wondering if anyone knew of a primer on the web pertaining to topology in 3d models. Specifically, questions regarding proper edge flow, how to get rid of non-quad faces, what level of detail a game-ready prop model would need to be.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
cheers!

This page should give you an insight into edge-flow theory and how to deal with poles of varying types.

I'd recommend having your 3d app open and trying to recreate the examples outlined as you read through the thread.
I hope this helps. :)

This other link http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=93651 is kind of a complement to the thread indicated by Mincher. There are a couple of animated .gif files with some interesting loop creations.
