Can anyone tell me how you can split a NURBS surface at a selected U or V isoparms, like in Maya.

ie, Nurbs grid, 2 U isoparms selected at say 2.00 and 3.00. How can I split the surface at those iso's and retain the cut up peices?

The snip tool doesn't seem to work the way I'd like it.

Please help.

Hi! I`m sorry, I'll try to answer even if I don't have XSI in front of me. The tool you have to use is indeed snip, as for not working as you,d like it to work, I don't really know what's the problem, if the problem is that it doesn't cut the surface exactly where you'd like it to be cut, what you can do is to select your iso line first (in the droplist on the menu on the right just above the place where the name of what is selected appears) and then use snip. I hope that helps, as I said, I don`t have xsi in front of me, but still, an uncertain answer is better than none!

Hi General Lethal,

What i mean is, taking my earlier example, If I did the same thing inside Maya I'd be left with 3 surfaces not 1.

I thought XSI's snip would work like that.

Hope this is clearer.
