View Full Version : Glass morphing
bennykapelli 01-13-2009, 01:01 PM hi everybody,
i'm looking for some help... obviously
my problem is that i have to create from a 3d glass a second one. With a morph? maybe? some mercury effect? Everything will be composited on live action footage. Ther's some plug in (after effect or 3dmax or LW) can do this?
thanx to all
bye

I've done a similar effect by doing this :
1) add a symmetry modifier and animatating the mirror axis so that it clones out a second object.
2) add a volume select modifier and select the middle verts with a soft selection
3) add a relax modifier on top so that it smooths everything out.
I believe it's a similar technique to what they used for the Scion car commercials a while back where the cars morphed out of each other. That might get you close to what you need.
