Hi Robski. Looks like you are really cruising along. Lots of nice things going on here. I will just hit a few things I think you could tweak.

I really like that right hand coming down at the start. That really looks good. Over all I feel the lip-sync is kind of mushy. I think it is safe to keep the mouth shut for two frames when it closes in most cases. I guess it looks like you only have the start in though? Does the lip-sync stop after "go with it". Once you finish the body polish I would do a serious lip-sync pass and really get it to shine.

It almost looks like you have two animations here. One stops at seven seconds into it. This is my favorite part. It looks like you spent more time on this first section to me.

You can get more contrapposto in the entire piece. Get it so his hips, torso and head are not all facing the same direction. Probably in the X axis? This can give it some more weight and tension and just looks more natural. I think putting some twist in those shoulders at the start when he is leaning against the podium will give him more weight there and add aesthetically.

On glamour the overlap is looking good but the wrist may be a little too broken.

I am not crazy about the "but" pose either. Some contrapposto will really help that section out. The biggest thing to me though is that the second part where he walks out (after "but") has too much symmetry to it and everything is landing at the same time. You can go in and tweak those poses so the arms are not as similar but even more, I would say to make sure the hands land more frames apart. Right now it looks like it is blending from post to pose. So you can go in and adjust the keys so one arm stays in the air longer and lands after the other.

I hope that gives you some stuff to run with. It is looking good. This is my favorite part of animation. When you have the timing down and can have people get nit-picky and really start to get it to shine.

Great work Robski! I think it is looking much much better. I know you said you still need to do the hands. Man it will really loosen that up once you get the fingers overlapping. I think the arms may be a little floaty on "were really lonely". It may break that up if you try to get them up to the position where he has them held...just before they come down on that "were really lonely" a lot quicker after he says "romance". Get them into that position and hold them for a sec. Then when they come down on "were really lonely" it will give that part more texture. Fast - slow -fast. Hope that makes sense with you having any frame numbers to give you.
Hope that helps a little. Can't wait to see more.

Chris

Hi Robski.
Just a few thoughts. It is looking good and I sure understand if you don't want to keep tweaking it. While you always want the arms hitting at different times, and I mentioned doing this before, I think when the come up at "but", now they are actually too far apart. Its like one hits makes a fist and goes down, then the other one does. I think that would be stronger if one was coming up as the other was going down instead of one at a time. Also it may be interesting to try keeping them in that fist position when they get there until he stays " we are really lonely".

Looking good man.

Hey Robski. Way to take it across the finish line. It sure is always a tough call on when to call it quits. I never know when to do it but I think you should call this one complete and get rolling on another. Great work man!
