Hi,

I'm trying to match camera setup from Lightwave to Maya.

The camera settings in Lightwave are as follows

Zoom factor: 2.4267
Lens focal length 18.2mm
1051 x 768 Resolution
FOV of 58.84 degrees x 44.79 degrees
Aperture Height: 0.5906"

What should me camera settings in Maya be? I tried setting the Camera Aperture in Maya as the FOV in Lightwave but it's measured in degrees and Maya's is measured in inches. I've tried FBX but it just defaults the settings to 35mm Television Projection. =(

The closest that I can get:

focal length : 18.2
Film Back:
aperture 0.808 x 0.5906 (custom film gate)

If you use 35mm TV Projection, you will get FOV : 59.32

For resolution I don't know what is your pixel aspect ratio?

pixel aspect ratio is set to 1.0

I had the same problem with Max to Maya and I used the FBX format wich preserved the camera perfectly. I suppose they also have a Lightwave plugin.

Oh you know...i've tried FBX...i fogot to mention it...the scene is all topsy turvy when it gets in...oh well...
