View Full Version : DELL m6300//maya//slow
myarchitect 01-11-2009, 02:38 PM I only found the latest driver for FX3600M on DELL website which is R189269,it works extremely slow in MAYA 2008 ,when poly reaches 500k, the viewport has fps only around 1-2...
however, in 3ds max, when poly reches 100k, the viewport has fps around 60-70...
anyone knows how to slove this problem??thanks!!!

This might be a bit of a long shot, but can you find a different driver version for your card on this site: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/

Try disabling vsync in your drivers, see if that speeds things up a bit. The only other thing I can say is that comparing 500k to 100k doesn't really equate as you're going to have a lot more stuff to draw during tumble draw calls with 500k than 100k.
