I've created a simple model in blender, then u/v map the faces to the u/v image editor window where I load an image onto the u/v editor map. In the 3d view I set it to textured to see the texture on the model, and it shows.

The problem is I can't scale the image tiles smaller on my model. So in F6 I set the texture image and in F5 I set the materials Map Input sizeX and sizeY, but they don't seem to scale the tiles on my model at all.

Anyone have any advice?

If I understand what you are saying, scale up the UV faces in the UV window and it will make the texture "finer." Scale them as you would any object in blender.

Just simple thing to check

The coordinates for your texture has been set to UV? Default mapping for textures is orco, so you need to change it.
