View Full Version : Fixing border edges on normal maps?
Levitateme 06-24-2003, 09:08 PM I saved my Normals image but on the borders of everything it is jagged, AI is on when i save from my shader. i saw a tutorial somewere of a technique i guy from WETA use's but he is using shake. i have Combustion, but its just a image i would just like to do this in photoshop. anyone have any work arounds to getting all the edges have a softness to them instead of jaggd? thanks.

As long as the edges arn't critical to the shape of the highres you could take it into photoshop and fix it. Just make sure to edit each channel separately.

Yeah feather or the blur tool would work. Maybe even the brush tool with a soft brush at 20% opacity to smooth over areas.
