Hi guys,
I wanted to share my WIP with you this time, it's begun last night and so it's a little forward than the beginning, also I haven't kept the earliest steps, but... Here it is.

It is a personnal work, I have some more serious and surely more interesting artworks to do but I don't have the approppriate material for the moment, I have to be patient, so I'm doing some fun stuff just to "survive" during this time. ^^
I was making some kind of anything girl and it became to look not-so-bad, so I decided to get it into a "villain" woman. lol, so she used to look gentle and quite stupid and she's getting more and more insane. I don't want her to look too pretty, too, I don't like perfect lady's. Maybe she's also kind of stupid... I don't know.

I don't have any specific problem to ask you for help for now, maybe you are going to find something odd or wrong. You are welcome to say and give some idees you'd see for her, or things I should-could do to improve her.

For now I'm working on the details of the face, so you don't see it obviously on the smaller pictures. (I'll give some close up about)
I'm going to make more details about the clothes, make all the stuff smoother, but, I don't know, I like it like that, when you can see the strokes, though I'd like to do more.

Let see what happens.
This has been done under this song : Arno- Putain Putain (http://www.deezer.com/track/1790)
Have fun. : )

Next step. Have done the fur at the right, not yet on the left. Details on the clothes, and I try on her left arm. I don't know if it's going good, maybe I'll get backward about this.

Today I found it very messy, so I'm correcting the idea. Have also cropped the canvas and started to make more details.
The face is done.

I'll have to stop my wip for a while, my labtop can't support the work anymore. T_T
So this is the last step for now.

I really like it, very stylish and I really like the smokey background it is a really nice touch. I wish I could give you some helpful crit but I can't find anything irregular so far. Well done :D

Nice! I really like to see what happens next... how those squiggly things turn to actual matter... it's cool.

As for crits: there is something gooey about the face I think it is partly the mouth and the weirdish low angle while the hat is straight on or down even... and maybe the eyes are a little displaced from each other too.
It gives some mystery to the character but it is distracting from everything else too I think.

I really like the blue fur (probably is just lines, first impression was fur or parrot feathers)... where is it gone! ah!

Finally be aware that the weight of the image (mostly because the viewlines) is currently on the right bottom side of the image and you may need something upper left to balance it. It seems like you could even rotate it a little to the left to center your character more and counteract this problem

hope I helped... looking forward to more sculpting with paint!

Thanks alot matsman. I've been studying what you've said about the weight and the head, I agree with this things and, now that I can work on this piece again I'm dealing with.
I've made some changes. It probably will change again but I feel the weight is better now.
There is still mistakes, I'm trying to get it and make the piece flow better.
But for know I think the whole a little bit empty, and too still or not still enough. I'm thinking about adding some people on the back, softly.

I think I have to improve the flag logo also. What do you think?

Hi there! nice improvements!

Face has become stronger and the weight shifting is no longer there. So top notch work there.

I really like the atmosphere of the picture right now... including the smokey colours on the banner and the background. The logo on the banner will probably change seeing what your workflow is. I can't imagine you sticking to something from sketch to finish.
So I don't worry there... in my opinion a dragon is a little out of context seeing that the rest of the picture looks like some industrial cold war country, at least to me.

looking forward to more updates and seeing what you have in mind for the hands and the background :) keep trucking! and mistakes are human and aren't neccesarily a bad thing!

Bye!

How awful D: Is the file corrupt then or something; how annoying for you, theres nothing more frustrating than loosing the PSD file of your artwork :(

Never never never have just one copy of your work on the hard drive...I save mine by date e.g. Villainwife2april, villainwife16april etc. I only delete them once I'm sure I won't need them again - at worst I'll lose a few day's work. My condolences !
