I can tell the mech battles are going to be cool, but I was hoping the characters were more stylized like Imagi's Astro boy or the Giantrobo ova from the 90's

Still like what I see over all:)

There was a live action Gigantor released only a few years back:

I don't know how well the movie turned out but the trailer looked spiffy at the time.

I voted "YES, I want to see this film" at the end of the trailer. I hope you guys did it too. As high quality Pixar/Dreamworks/Sony/Blue Sky's animated features are, I really want to see more of different genres getting made. It's getting harder and harder to get excited by talking animals in family drama or buddy movie genre.

Damn right. I was really impressed with how fluid the animation was, and the style of the visuals really worked. Why do studios get more excited about talking animals than giant robots? Surely there's as much appeal for a younger audience, and there's certainly no missed opportunities for merchandising?

Anyways, really hope this gets the go-ahead.

I love how that the trailer looks straight out of 1975. I wonder if there's an English sub version?

I didn't know the CG one was a pitch trailer but I absolutely voted "yes". It looks really nice. I agree more stylized human characters would be good though; the boy wasn't bad but kind of generic.

The live action Gigantor was one of the worse movies I've seen. Bleh! Imagi though I love!

These dudes are finally bringing action and adventure films to 3d. Pixar is about the only ones who have done this so far with Incredibles but Imagi has a whole lineup! Love these guys.

Making beautiful movies on a budget and for the fun!

Impressive. If it was made into a movie I'd watch it.

This looks like it would bring a breathe of fresh air to the movies today. It's a classic.
