View Full Version : mi_material and glossiness maps

Hi!

I'm trying to render a piece of metal with differents glossiness values.
But when i'm using a map to control my glossiness attribute, on a mia_material_X, I always got the same problem: the object will be totally glossy or with extrem blurred (and grainy) reflections. And if i try to tweak my map, the render doesn't change (as if I invert the map).
Just a precision, i'm working with 2009.

did you enable the Use Alpha as Luminance parameter in the file texture node? the glossiness parameter is driven by default by the alpha value of whatever texture you put in there, so checking that on could solve it. Hope it helps.
