In this 5 minute short film we tell the story of Belze, an unaccomplished crook with ill intentions, on his quest to steal the golden statue of the Holy Mazioles from a medieval cathedral. As you can imagine, things don't turn out the way he planned.

The film hasn't gone through the festival cycle yet, so unfortunately we cannot post the whole work here.

We are however preparing a public teaser trailer and are happy to show some of our favorite shots right now. We're also working on a little Making-Of article, so if anyone is interested in publishing it... let us know!

Thanks for the kind words, Marcel!

We had two artists working on the animation and visuals and got a little help with the sound and music.

As promised, we've uploaded a little teaser trailer.

This looks amazing! Just one thing looked like it needs some attention and that is the hands of the thief when he is hanging from the rope. At the moment the hands float away from the rope a little.
To my eyes this production has a touch of Disney style to it.

You should put your links to the trailer at the top of your post... that will get more eyes on it, and more comments.

Looks pretty... can't say much from a 30-second clip except that what character animation you've shown looks kinda weak. That is, rigid and jerky.

nice work, i like the style, the feeling!

but as said above, i think the animation is the weakest part of it... it does look quite rigid and weightless at some points...
Good luck! Congratulations for your efforts!
Cheers,
Virgil

Thanks for the comments everyone!

IT'S ART has published a pretty in-depth article on the Making of A Night at the Cathedral (http://www.studiolampion.de/journal/the-making-of-a-night-at-the-cathedral).

I'm sure some of you might find it interesting!

This is looking really nice, I like the feel. How long have you been in production? With only two artists you must be awake at all hours.

I can't wait to see the final product.

Cheers...
