hey, i've been working on creating realistic metal textures and some tutorials state thatthe reflections of metal have a high index of refraction. is there a way of setting the ior of reflections in cinema 4d?

cheers

Either use the fresnel shader and try to simulate the ior you need or use the RealFresnel plugin included in the C4D installer which lets you control the ior itself.

Realfresnel plugin? This is the first I've heard of this... Where do I find it?

Best,

Nick

Great. It allows you to choose the IOR without messing with gradients and such.
