I don't think that wireframes are neccessary here but since they are requested in the rules I'm gonna post them once I get home this evening.

wow this really tickles my fancy, i already like it, heres some things that i wont agree with.

being a military base im sure the builders had detailed plans that were revised out the yahoo. so that said, i dont believe that a large beam going out over/beside the landing pad would be too acceptable, thus i believe removing it would be for the great good, however its look does add to that left side.

on the right, with the wall that looks like>|< (only with a 90 degree rotation on my example :p), looks to be a door to me. if that is the case, then unless that capsal shaped object planted firmly into that cement piece of work, is not attached to the building, the door would not beable to open to the left.

thats just my 2 cents, hope it helps. btw when looking at it, i always had the urge to scroll more to the left to see whatelse was there hehe. done good :-)

The stairway on the middle left is not realist.

There is tow few steps. The step's width seems to be too small and the heigth to big, relatively to the people next to it.

You should make it more pregressive.

Great work, lot's of nice details in there...

I think the lighting can be improved a lot though, right now the scene is a bit murky (gray). Having a stronger light in the scene will make it more lively. It'll also bring out the shiny stuff in the scene.

Your work reminded me of this site (also a military base):

(Be sure to check out the rest of the site too, this guy is a god!)

I think the only thing that bother's me is that it looks really murky. I trying to balance it out really quick in PhotoShop. I'm not sure if you would need to ad more lights or whatever, but here is my suggestion on a better lighting.

http://www.darkmachine.net/base15_ps.jpg

though you can now see it's a little grainy in the back, or perhaps that is the textures which could be procedural? It is a little bright in the foreground though. that could be the desired look though. Maybe mine's even a little too bright/harsh? I am limited though since I can't actually ajust the lights.

And this is just my crit\opinion anyway.

Hi, sorry I thought I'd have a photoshop at it too, hope you dont mind.

I think my main crit with this image is the atmosphere; or lack there of. It just seems off for some reason.

I have tryed to change it a bit... my version is a little extreme, but can you see what I am talking about? How ever far away something is, increase the overlay of atmosphere by that number. so if there is a character very close to camera and a mountain 5 times further away, you should overlay the mountain with 5 times as much atmosphere colour. I think Leonardo da Vinci said something like that anyway. He was a very smart man!

Hope this helps.

Adding a little mist? That sounds like a very good idea indeed. I'll also take a second look at the lighting.

I like it alot. Though the beam should be at least moved. I like the mist Idea though JeT's Pic I personaly think has a bit too much. Lightning would be cool :D Other than that I like it. Looks like a cool videogame or something

Very well done and detailed
The last image you showed definately left me wanting to see this with much more dramatic lighting. It's been previously suggested, and I second the idea, for a much stronger sun light, giving it a bright and overexposed look. To get a better idea what I am talking about check out reeve's latest WIP images of his futuristic city http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=70662&perpage=20&pagenumber=1

Hey Creature :)

Looks great, I suggest those lighting fixes. Also, why don't you make an Airwolf or Apache for the background? It is a military base after all.
