View Full Version : Vue 7 Xstream and Max 2009 - unable to load skies into max
danb4026 01-07-2009, 04:50 AM I am unable to load Vue skies into Max when using the Vue 7 plugin within Max.
Anyone know what might be causing this problem or if I am doing something wrong?
Within Max, I enter the Vue 7 drop down menu, choose Load Atmosphere, choose an atmosphere and hit OK...Nothing happens.
I posted this previously but it apparently didn't show up. If its a duplicate, sorry.

Hmmm....weird...Fire up the options panel. Locate the 2 check boxes "render sky" and "render atmosphere". If they are unchecked they will render as you describe.
Hope itīll help you.

I've trying Vue7 xstream into max and xsi... my opinion is that in max you can 'paint' your objects witch is a GREAT feature that I miss in Xsi, but in other hand I can't get the same results of Vue StandAlone using XStream with 3d max (2009) specially the skys seems to be grainy (using high parameters too) and the image seems to be a little bleached, the strange things are that this problems are no present in the Xsi version using the same parameters.

I had the same problem viriato, have you been able to solve this issue of the sky being a little grainy when working in Max 2009

Hey
i use 3dsmax2009 and have no problems with the skies from vue. It is important to test the different atmosphere methode standart,..., environmentmap. The Scatter technics make grain when are the setting is not high enough.
Sorry, My Problem is the Gamma correction 1.8-2.2 for the vue-shader in 3dsmax2009. I donīt want go in each vue-material and solve the probleme with a filter for gamma correction.
