Hello fellows!!

I've done some tests with fluids trying to simulate the blood splattering.

Here they are -

Don't want to look the bore and tiresome person, but it is always best to ask .
Why doesn't the blender fluid have the real 3D motion blur ??
Actually, if it would, there are no barrier to use the blender's fluids for high-end production!
I know there are vector blur can be applying to fluid mesh. Unluky it has some limitation. In some case , for example,

blood splattering - the vector blur doesn't really usefull.

?? How do you live without MB for fliud ?
??? Would it be fixed some day ?

Thank you,
Happy New Year !

Blender *DOES* have Motion Blur:

You can use it and see if you get better results.

Hello verb3k!
Thak you for your answer.

Unfortunatelly, that MB doesn't affect the fluid mesh. There are only vector blur which can be used through the compositing nodes for it.

To tell the truth, i can not fugure out even vector blur properly. In 2.47 works fine, but in 2.48 it doesn't.
A bug ?

can you post a .blend or at least a screenshot of your nodes setup?

Hi Mordachai.
Thank you for your intention to help me :)

Here it is a .blend file in the .zip archive. I cannot attach the simulation files (the are more than 250 MB at all). So, if you want to see the liquid splashing, you have to bake the animation at first.

Also i attached the screenshot of my compositing nodes setup.

Thank you.

Hi n0mad,

The good news: nothing wrong with your node setup :).

The bad news: it's a bug in 2.48. See the last post in this BlenderArtists thread (http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=72141).

Fortunally you can bake your fluid sim in 2.48 and render it in a older version of Blender. All you have to do it's reset the Fluid Parameters again, no need to rebake (same vector blur node setup in both renders):

Good luck.

PS: I can't open your file, Blender crashs every time I try it...

Thank you Mordachai.
I had vague surmise that it is a bug.

Nevetheless it is only 2D Motion blur. It is not enough sometimes.
It` s a pity that 3D MB canot be applying to fluid mesh.

thanks :)
