What's the secret to the trim tool?!:argh:

As far as I can tell the thing sucks. Half the time when I do circular Fillets and I activate the trimtool in order to get rid of the excess garbage; that white wireframe never pops up so i can trim.:surprised Sometimes it will and sometimes it won't. It seems like it's totally arbitrary in its decision to trim.:annoyed: And its not even just circular fillets eiter. Just intersecting surfaces and then trying to use the trim tool is unruly. Who knows the secret? Do you have to keep rebuilding your surface? Delete history repeatedly? Someone please hit me upside the head with some wisdom on this:D I've got deadlines fast approaching and I can't afford to spend 4 hours just to make the stupid trim tool work correctly. ...... ...when it should only take 2 minutes in the first place.

the trimm tool always needs a closed region. means the curve must be closed or both ends of the curve must end at an edge of the surface. thats all the trimm needs.

in general, always try to avoid trimm, or convert your trimmed surface into a regular (take the curves and rebuild it with modelling commands)

yehhhh, it just seems like sometimes there's way to do it without trimming when your working with nurbs. Besides, that's a vital function to fillets:hmm:
