New to concept art, trying to get more practice in.
This just came outa my head whilst doodling, please crit away.
The skeleton hand is meant to be massive, more like a statue or something, does that perspective come through?

Nothing else gives a scale. To me there is a normal hand coming out of the ground.

agree with EndoTouch, maybe some birds flying above the fingertips would do the trick

I agree with Indo and Creeto, you need something to give it scale: birds or a dude with a missing hand, something.

Also, centered compositions are deemed boring and static. You might consider moving the hand to the right or left some.

Hope this helps :)

I like the palette you have used but I join the choir of previous comments. The composition is symmetrical, there's no scale and very little depth.
There is also an issue with the elements - I can recognise the skeletal hand but I have no idea what the other elements are in the picture. Buildings? Stonepillars? There just isn't enough defined shape to decide what they are all about. If you don't know it - no-one else will either and your picture suffers.
There's nothing else in the picture that points out it's a graveyard.

Bring some elements closer to the viewer and with better detail. Crop the picture. As the skeletal hand is opening to left I'd cut from the right side just to exclude the darker pillar that makes the symmetrical composition. The skeletal hand also needs it's background (on it's both sides to be specific) to be of lighter shade so it stands out better and creates more depth and scale. If those sticks on the ground are meant to be gravestones - you could turn some of them to face the viewer more or make clear rows of tombstones as in graveyard. Now it looks like there's a load of treestumps scattered everywhere. If they are treestumps - they need to be defined better.

Doodling doesn't mean you can set aside the purpose and forget what the picture is all about. Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh. Obviously you DO have skills but you just need to push forward and think about what you're doing while doodling.
