Interesting concept! You would have to use some sort of fiberoptics to actually get a photo with that kit, wouldn't you? ;)
The most important thing to fix here would be the lighting. Geometry and textures are OK IMO... I don't know exactly how you should rearrange the lights, but the image would probably look a lot better with some elaborate studio-shot style rig... Perhaps throw some self-illuminated planes around the stage (out of view) to get some nice reflections.

Cheers for the feedback JamesMK...
Your right about the lighting/reflections, I need to play around with these some more to make a more interesting scene. I'm currently re-rendering using HDRI pls some straegically placed lights.
The actual camera is not supposed to be "possible" it's to show those art directors out there that they can think outside the world of photography and retouching to get their message across! |n my experience there's alot of them out there that think 3D is only for the likes of Pixar et al, I'm trying to show them that there is an alternative that is as cheap or cheaper than a photographer and repro house.

Sounds good! And I was obviously just kidding about the fiberoptics :D
Looks good so far, i like the idea.
I was going to mention HDRI lighting as well but you already got to that bit :D
Look forward to seeing the finished result :)

Try a version where you have a blue/green/grey color in the lens instead of red...
Look here (sorry for the small pic, but due to upload restrictions it had to be this size, cause i don't have a place to upload)
