Demonic sky WIP

The face looks very odd. It's not feline, it's not human, it's not demonic. It's a somewhat stuffed toy looking mix of all three. Disney does it better.

I suggest you get some big cat photo references, and goat references, or whatever animals you are imagining this to be constructed from, and make your anatomy more believable.

It's a nice piece of Furry fanart, but it's just too "fake" looking.

You should use gargoyles as reference, they seem very similar to what you are getting at.

I think the biggest thing that is bringing this picture down is the face. Just way to cute compared to the rest of your image.

I agree with the previous comments about the face - a demon just shouldn't be smiling, unless the expression has a truly menacing undertone, which this doesn't. It's also just so round and fluffy-looking, which doesn't really scream "demonic" either.

The other thing is that for such burly, masculine-looking upper body, the legs look slender and feminine from the knees down. It's really cool how this is coming along, though. You're clearly putting a lot of work into it.

The cat face is just too cute, and screams "FURRY!" way too much. Especially now that you have added the hair over the body. With the hooves, and the general concept of "goat-man" accepted as "demonic," a cute feline face will probably never be taken very seriously as any type of demon, when combined with a winged goat body. This guy just looks like he needs his ears rubbed and a nice plate of Tuna Feast put down for him...

Since he has goat legs, the slenderness is more appropriate than overly muscular ones, especially the lower part. Use ref. photos if you have to.

Also, you need to repose the left arm and paint in a left hand. It reads too weird, and looks like he has no left arm or hand without looking real hard. You image should always read clearly first, then you refine the details...I totally missed that left hand at the beginning, because the image was far less detailed. Now it jumps out as looking like it's missing, and he's waving at us with his much longer wing skeletal support...

I love the detailing; however I do have one pet peeve - it drives me batty when we have winged characters with all the muscles lovingly drawn, and not even a hint of the muscles required to support the wings and make them functional...

Actually while I'm at it, I notice that if he is flying now, there should be no wrinkles in his wing membranes - they should be filled out by air pressure as they beat. Finally, the right and left wings seem to join his body at different places; *his* right wing in particular seems to be placed oddly - I think the perspective is off.

Thank you so much for all the help, your comments are really helpful for me! :) However sometimes I feel like I can't do it, it's a too big jump for me after my manga drawings :( But I'll try my best with it :)

I'd be glad if some of you could provide me redlines, I don't want to work for nothing again.
I tried to make it by myself, I hope it's what you mean. And I worked on the face again.
