Well, this is my last work, done in max 5 + brazil. :)

60k polys for the microscope, and 1,2 million polys at render time.
The micro has 99 pieces, and is ready for animation or any other purpose. Is a exact copy of the original in size, proportion and pieces, and he took me about 2 weeks. and, obviously, is a Carl Zeiss Microscope from some year close to 1950.

Well, C&C are very welcome, and sorry for my english.

I'd blur the background some - right now the filtered pixelation is killing the image.

the worn out textures, and the old looks u are trying to achieve....dont actually look old,

maybe use some refernce of old worn out metals etc.
also the specularity is not helping...
