Title: A simple sofa
Name: Dusan Bosnjak
Country: Yugoslavia
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay

I had to model this sofa for an interior scene. The deadline was kinda tight, and while the model resembled the real thing, i wasn't quite happy with the way it turned out. After the deadline, i decided to spent a couple of hours and fix it. I added some creases, and fixed the texture to resemble the real thing.

I used uvew unwrap to map it, a procedural gradient map to create the square pattern, and a blend of some fabric maps to make it seem like fabric.

Afterwards, it was photoshopped a bit.

I really like the textures of the fabrics, tho not so much about the wood textures.
love the model

The fabric texture looks awesome! Do you mind to briefly share how you got that procedural texture? I have to do something like that too, but regular bump map doesn't turn out as good as yours.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'll try to wrap up some screenshots. The procedural texture is actualyl very basic, a simple gradient ramp in max, set to 4 corners (or box, whatever gives this thing) and then tiled a bunch of times. I had to unwrap the parts though, so it could wrap nicely.

I have actually done a lot of photoshop work adjusting curves, color correction and such. Wasn't this nice when it came out of vray :D
