I'm a big fan of Frazetta's work and I had in mind to create this jungle. I took for references a scene from the movie Fire and ice where the ape-like men pursue the heroe through the forest.
The idea was to have these gnarly trees big enough for somebody to climb on and stay in the canopy, walking over the mossy branches without having to put a foot on the ground, making of it a world apart. I wanted to create a deep atmosphere with lush vegetation and hanging creepers.
