Hey guys! This is my 2008 demo reel.

90% done with xsi.

I did the modeling, the shaders, lighting, rendering and sometimes the compositing. Animation is done by my friend and colleague Catalin Ion. For a detailed list view the demo reel break-down. (http://adrian.reactive4.com/bd.html)

I hope you enjoy it!
Bye!

That was a pretty good reel but I have to agree with TP, it was just a little bit too long. Your reel is still really good and I have to say that I really, really liked the 'video-game' 'Gears of War' shots. They were superb!

Overall I think you have a pretty sweet reel but you should try to shorten it down by a little bit. :)

Wow absolutely amazing stuff.
Great VFX and animation. I really liked all the stuff in there.
I have to agree with TP and Helgi about the length of the reel.
The music was strange too :-)
But although i give you 5 Stars for this piece. Very good stuff!

yes the music has totally driven me insane after 30 sec especially that I could hear the sound from the stereo commercial undeneath the reel track - that's maddening ;)

Great work though and great to see an XSI based reel:thumbsup:

Hey! Thank you all for your comments, I'm glad you like it!
You are right about the length of the reel, but I found it hard to decide if it's to long, I was bored after watching the first minute as I'm very familiar with the footage :D

Great stuff in that real, you have some serious skills there. The mechanical stuff you've done looks insane! I have to agree about it being a bit too long though...

Very nicely done man = D I really liked that one turntable with flashy reflections. : = I gotta agree about the lenght and music, though. Especially the music, its really weird and looping(I think).

WOW!! You have some good stuff going on man! I cant believe it was just the two of you working on the 1st person short. It's amazing! Your whole demo reel is good. I do think it's kind of long, but you do have some good stuff in there that keeps people attention. But from what I've been told a demo reel shouldn't be too long.

Thats what i originally wanted to be. A generalist. I love this cg stuff, i would like to do it all, but my main focus is to be a animator, and studying visual effects on the side, and just studying animation alone requires alot of studying time for me. Again, good job man

Hey Adrian,
Great reel man :)
You've got some cool stuff in there, but I do agree, it's a bit too long.

Cheers mate!

Very cool stuff. The 1st person shooter piece was my favorite. I like everything I saw but I started to lose interest in the middle once I realized how long the reel was. If you were to cut it up to a faster rhythm I'm sure it would have left a bigger impression on me. Great work though that's for sure.
