It doesn't really give specifics on the hardward does it? 16 CPU's.. wow, if they are all Pentium One chips.. ahah.. who knows. 8 gig of RAM.. not bad - but what speed.

I'm sure I could go to the SGI website for more details.. but I'm lazy.

Just get a Cray.

1. i hate ebay.

2. your payinging them to render stuff for you. it won't be yours. do they tell u how much tech support will cost? do they tell u any specs of the machine? nope.

its just stupid.

Depends on what software you use and wether or not it run son Irix.. Then there is the cost of licensing their machines for your software..Sounds like a lame duck if you ask me.. you can get good deals on render farms where the licensing is included etc..

since it is a graphical onyx it might be a good deal for someone who develops their own software and needs to render a flythrough of a giant dataset.. I dunno.. not for anyone that's for sure..
