View Full Version : Maya detialed head-MAJOR help needed plz

would have a nice detailed head for you to crit, but...
i finsihed up todays work on model transprted pc back to my house. opened file.

now when i open it, takes a while to load but it oes it and shows the last view i had in pers.
so thats all good, except there is no head there.

its just empty
did i accidently delte model before save?
well no..

if i right click and select all it selects something i right click again and the msnu comes up with all the face vertex edge etec like i clicked my model. i can clikc properties and look at model tex and props etc and everything, yet no visible model.
its not on a layer or anything.

please help

is it somethin simple like pressing x or a corrupt file?.

i guess you checked the display section in the attribute editor as well? that's the first place i would look.

i know maya sometimes mysteriously breaks the connection to shaders, but than you would at least be able to see a wireframe so that's probably not it either...then again it wouldnt hurt to reassign the default shader just to be sure....

JHarford,

Heya bud, I downloaded your file and it seems you lost alot of data...there is no info on the outliner and for some reason i can't save it as a maya ascII, I think you lost this file bud...besure to save and save often...and if you did find away to get it to show up, do let me know =)

YES!!! lol , i got it .

ok
i right clicked and select all.
then click polyshape1
attribute editor

the visibily and turn on vis and node and turn the bottom one off.
then it appeared
in wire even in shaded view
so applied teture again and now it works fine :)
ill post a pic in a minute

maya 5- connect poly shape alternative?
or a instance miror to work on one side and have other update
