Hi guy's,

I've just finished an animation, (it's a museum flythrough 2.5 MB, Divx 5.05) and I was wondering if you could give me some feedback/advice on the following topics:

- radiosity
- camera animation
- Artistic/architectural

Here's the link:

Please tell me what U think, and keep in mind that I'm just an amateur!

I'm brand new to animation, so I can't give you some really good advises for your camera animation. If you want to focus the exhibits also for a while, than your flyby is a bit to fast and not really centered on each singel exhibit.

But the lighting is very good IMHO :applause: .

The camera is really claustrophobic. I'd pull out that FOV.

Hi 3D zealot,

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, could you explain to me?

FOV is 'field of vision', under your cameras' modify panel

i find it distressing that 3d newbs seem to know about global illumination before simple things like box modeling and whatnot nowadays ... this is by no means meant to call you out TOMMY 3D FREAK, it is just something i've been noticing lately and i just decided to vent in your thread.. sorry man

TOMMY: i don't notice anything horribly wrong w/ your animation...good job. i would consider slowing down the camera at the very begining when it first exits that small hallway and goes over the stairs. Also, i would add a painting or something on the wall over the stairs b/c your camera turns to look back there about halfway through. (around 00:11)

You might want to put some brief pauses in the camera motion so that people can focus on various items. Since the camera never really stopped you never really got a center of focus.

Example: at the top of the stairs pause for a few frames before the next camera move. That way people can see the room.

Lookin' good though

I'm not sure if it's the FOV you did'nt understand, or the word claustrophobic.

I'm trying to say that I feel as though the animation has me pushed into the walls too close to be comfortable. It's also retricting well, our "Field Of View". :D

Sorry I did'nt explain that better.

Well it's the word claustrophobic :D

I think you have a point! As I said earlier I will take all the advice you guys have given me into consideration, and show what I come up with when I'm done.

Thanks guy's
