Hi everyone.

I've run into a big problem when using mental ray for Maya 7 on Mac. When I create the traditional SSS network, see here (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=214522), I set the light map's image name to "textures/headSSS" (without quotes), and I get the following error:

Error: (mental ray) : {TEXS}/textures/headSSS: registry entry {TEXS} not found The same happens if I supply an extension such as .iff. It seems that whenever I create just a blank file in the folder, and tell maya to use that, it doesn't give me the error, however it does not give me a SSS effect. Also, whenever I try to change any settings when using that file I get another error:
Error: (Mayatomr.Output) : file error: /Users/user/Documents/maya/projects/Temp/textures/headSSS Followed by Warning: (Mayatomr.Shader) : mentalrayTexture1: referenced writable texture file "/Users/user/Documents/maya/projects/Temp/textures/headSSS" already exists, overwrite I'm not really sure what to do. Is mental ray broken or anything? I'm really not sure what to do. It seems {TEXS} has to do with the registry, but this is a Mac, so I'm not sure what it's even doing in here....

Can anyone give me a hand?

Thanks in advance.
