The power supply is overkill but a good one, make sure it will fit in the case since it has a longer than usual enclosure (I've got a 1200W Silverstone and its really long). Speaking of the case there are better cases for the money. A good Lian Li case will serve you better and will last many years. Antec makes cheap plastic and steel cases which just don't seem worth the investment in my opinion. Check these out, all aluminum without any cheap plastic crap or silly drive bay adapters:

Good luck with your new system. Cheers!

The system looks okay, although it would be interesting how much it is.
The case olson suggested is -in my eyes- a bit too expensive.
Coolermaster offers a great looking metal case.
"Coolermaster Stacker 831 lite black"

It is around 180, don't know how much it is in dollar,
but it should be cheaper than this Lian Li case.
Additionally it's a big-case which makes it sometimes really comfortable.

Regarding your intention you should wait until march or april with your purchase.
AMD will release their quad cores during the first quarter of the year,
so Intel will have business competition and have to reduce their prices.
Also NVidia is going to release their 290er series this or next moth, which will also
make the 260er and 280er cheaper.

For me it's worth the time to wait.

The Coolermaster Stacker 830/831 is about $250 USD which is more expensive than the majority of comparable Lian Li cases. Cheers!
