Title: Scenic View: Autumn
Name: Veronica Purpura Veronica Purpura
Country: USA
Software: Painter, Photoshop

This was the second of the four projects I did for themes and subjects that I don't use. It was the most difficult of the four, with the trees being the hardest part of the project. The foundation was painted on Painter. But the trees were so hard to do with their level of texture and color, so I took onto Photoshop, painted each type of tree (colors) to use and duplicated the layers like crazy and arranged them as I wanted them. This was difficult to keep track of.

I made numerous revisions, making modifications to the sky, the castle (details and perspective), and the hills. I finally came out with something decent, but I still felt like it could've come out better. With this, I learned that lighting and environments were what I needed to work on the most.

I tend to work with more subtle tints, shades, and details, so strong changes in light and shape are harder for me to work with, but I'm working on it. You may go ahead and critique it this however you wish. Just make it constructive and add recommendations. I love learning new stuff.

I like it. However, one thing I would suggest is adding a gradient to the sky. Skies are usually not one color. I would go to your sky layer and put on a blue and white linear gradient. The white should be coming up from the horizon. That would make your picture look more realistic. And if you don't change it this time, you can always try it on later pictures.
Good luck.
