We have started an open beta test of Filter Forge (http://www.filterforge.com) for Mac OS X. The beta is public and open for anyone with a Mac -- no registration required, you can download it right away. Here's all the info about the beta:

Filter Forge is featured in the current issue of the free Plugs 'N Pixels ezine (http://www.plugsandpixels.com/ezine.html), where it is used to add its unique effects to an existing image (as opposed to creating textures from scratch).
