View Full Version : moderators...Avatar glitch
I've been trying to get an avatar but as soon as I click more info a new window opens and hangs, soon I have to manually end the program and then windows tells me my sistem is low on virtual memory. This happens every time. This is scary. Is this only hapening to me or is there anyone else going thru the same mess as I did? I hope someone will help fix the bug...anyone?:surprised

Heh, the reason why it almost hangs on that page (the "more info" page), is cuz it has like a GAZILLION images (http://www.cgtalk.com/misc.php?s=6&action=showavatars), as it lists every single avatar on CGTalk. (schmu_20mol is right :p)
To set an avatar: Click "Change Avatar",
check "use custom Avatar", and then upload one from ur pc! :)

thanks guys for your help, but I think I blame everything on Bill Gates.I'll sue him some day.He and his empire

I believe you need a certain number of posts before it will allow you to upload your own avatar.

Actually, that may be the free version of Divx making those popups.

:D
Checkout a software called "ad-aware" which can scan through your registry and delete most the spyware causing the pop-ups
