Title: Space 1999 Eagle
Name: Al Dinelt
Country: Canada
Software: CINEMA 4D

This is my first model created in C4D (actually, my second if I count the Dalek that I did from a video tutorial). I picked the Eagle from Space 1999 as it allowed me to work with simple geometric shapes for most of the model. The command module was the last part I modelled, as it was a bit more complex. The moon's surface was done using a high altitude photo of the moon as a displacement map.

I remember the series well. It had a great look to it at the time (late 70s?). You did a great job on the ship.

Thanks. The series ran in the mid-70's and for the time period, it was really well done.

I know what you mean about the ground texture. I am in the process of learning C4D, and this was my first attempt using displacement maps (and from a photo of the moon as well).

You can see more details of the model in my Eagle WIP (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=43&t=705830) thread.
