colossus design for steam power.
Is based on water intake pipes for the steam power and feeding the cooling system! Pipes that draw water are placed in the lower legging and feet of collossus! which they where connected water pipes being feed from the sea to the stand on the pillars intially where colossus feet are place on both sides of the ocean entrance. The arms are where the release valves are and here the pressure and heat is transferred out! The head ventilation on the back of the head is a air cooling system the control system based in the head! the most Vulnerable part of colossus is the control valves for water and heat to escape on his arms, if there are damage colossus will overheat and his metal like skin will perish before the whole system goes!

Redesign the head and right arm to give better composition, Helmet now has the ventilation built in behind the helment and the designed ornamental helmet snorkel above the helmant for extra air cooling. Now i can render him over the next day and half then dedicate myself to the mattepainting for the last days.

Hi nzrkiwi,
It looks great. Nice colors.
Only a coment/sugestion: It will look better if the colosus was a little tilted. Also it would be more dinamic, if you tilt him a litlle.
Anyway you are doing a god drawing.
Keep it up, dude:beer:

Massing in the water with more detail, move the arganaughts sub away from the middle allowing the path view directly towards the Colussus. Starting on the matte painting forming the buildings more.

I took some serious time to analyse the anatomy and the area mention by cybrgfx So the adjustment started with left arm by first elongating the forearm then increasing bicep peak to give a stress look on arm, making the front deltiod smaller as most of it is on his back. Looking at the Torso adjust left side oblique was way to long giving the torso that illusion of longness so shortening it and placing it higher to give better proportion thus making the torso look the right length! correcting the left lateral and ribcage in line with the body direction and movement. right side increasing the lateral and oblique on the side and makking them more compact. Fixing angle of deltoid, bicep and tricep, adjusting the forearm angle and shortening it, fixing the hand angle and bringing the hand down in line with the forearm length. I've decided to rid of the fully extended leg and gone with the knee coming out of the water to keep him balance to make he more cohesive and not out of wack!!

Wow that alot to be done in 4 hours but thanks cybrgfx it helped alot with my lazy mind

I change the angle of the arm more at right angle to the lower arm after. I also made the lats and ribs look like they moving upward to give that upper force to the colossus movement the overal anatomy of colussus look much better now i can go ahead and fully render him! Thanks from my son and other members for there criitique.

Here the colossus of rhodes has unhinge himself from the platforms. He has steam power energy reserverd in him. the water coolant comes from vent from piping on his legs which pump water into his cooling system. He has stem vents in the back of his head and steam from coal on his top helmet!

I only had 2 a week and half on this i need to start from the begining of a competition next time:)
