I read that often you need to ignore lighting planes and light motivation. I'm just curious how everybody understands this?
For me, ignoring light motivation means a move towards fantastic style of lighting, or perhaps film noir lighting style, so basically I can understand it and we often see it in films even without noticing. Though ignoring lighting planes seems not so clear to me. What could it mean in your opinion?
