Hi all,

Slightly concerned about my CPU temperature, in the BIOS it reports on average that my processor runs at 59°C, yet when I run SiSoft Sandra I get the following report :-

Board Temp - 44°C
CPU - 46.5°C
Power/Aux - 61°C

So am I right in thinking the Aux is my CPU and SiSoft is reporting this incorrectly ???

I'm using the fan that came with the CPU XP2800+ Barton, I am overclocking at 3200+ but this doesn't have an impact on the heat generated...

If my chip is running too hot how long do you expect it to last ??? If it only lasts a year then fair enuff' as I can buy a new one at over half the cost maybe...

Hope someone can enlighten me on what is what ???

try flashing your bios to latest version asus a7n8x deluxe boards had incorrect temperature readings.

59° is not that hot for air cooling

can't say anything to SiSoft Sandra

maybe try mother board monitor, this tool will show you your cpu temperature

ok in short shut up its a forum where you talk. this is not "post a whinge/moan". i gave the answer. the thread seemed dead. boone spammed i told him to stop. couple more posts and we were done. nothing special no problems caused.
