Hi all,

Slightly concerned about my CPU temperature, in the BIOS it reports on average that my processor runs at 59C, yet when I run SiSoft Sandra I get the following report :-

Board Temp - 44C
CPU - 46.5C
Power/Aux - 61C

So am I right in thinking the Aux is my CPU and SiSoft is reporting this incorrectly ???

I'm using the fan that came with the CPU XP2800+ Barton, I am overclocking at 3200+ but this doesn't have an impact on the heat generated...

If my chip is running too hot how long do you expect it to last ??? If it only lasts a year then fair enuff' as I can buy a new one at over half the cost maybe...

Hope someone can enlighten me on what is what ???

cheers

59 is not that hot for air cooling

can't say anything to SiSoft Sandra

maybe try mother board monitor, this tool will show you your cpu temperature
