Im having difficulties with the posemixer in MOCCA. I have been over the mime tutorial a number of times but i always get the same flaw so i guess its something i am missing to do.

The fingers bend correctly to preset poses, when i use the slider, with one exception: the mesh of the fingers are stretched out and deformed. they bend but the more i bend the more "edward scissorhands" they get.

What setting have i missed? or is it because i used claude instead of weights?

One other thing, when i switch soft IK back on the bones jump to other positions deforming the entire mesh if the bones are fixed. This only happens when auto redraw is turned on.

Hi,
maybe you missed some points with claude bonet? This is the most common problem i have seen so far.
You will find an example on Posemixer used for a hand at the C4D-Treff.

i have gone over the points with claude several times. i dont believe i have missed any.

i have noticed that the fingers bend properly if i rotate the bones manually when fixed. it is only when i use the sliders in posemixer they deform.

Sounds like a problem with the rest rotation of the bones. I ran into the same problem when creating that tut.. You have to choose rest rotations that allow ample room to all sides. Try using values around 180 degree for example. Posemixer will interpolate between the rotations of the different poses and sometimes the interpolated result does not match with the poses you mix. The scene in the tutorial is build in a way that avoids the problem.
Hope this helps

where do i set the rest degrees on the bones?

I'm not talking about Soft IK Rest rotation or similar but simply about the degree of roation the bone (or any other object) has when in the default pose.
