Hi...I'm new to posting here ( my first model post actually) but I have been lurking for a while. Been to intimidated to post here but if one wishes to improve they must hang it out there so to speak. This is a new character head I've been working on as time permits. The plan is to have this character speak to his troops before going off to battle. It's only to be a chest up animation. My main focus is on facial morphs, Realistic look, believable body motion and convincing lip sync. It's my third character model and my first rigging and facial animation. But that doesn't mean you need go easy on the crits.

Comments & suggestions are more than welcome.

Testing some of the morphs and movement. I'll have to slow the speech down in the real movie. I need some practice.

hey man. the model looks rather nice. good texture and whatnot.

id say one thing about the face. your piece of flesh that goes down from the nose to the neck looks a little out of place. the main problem is because the beard stubble stops and starts again on the other side. you might want to keep your stubble to one side of that flesh, not both.
also i would say that the strip looks a bit soft coming down into the neck. i was thinking it would help to be a little more accentuated, maybe hanging a bit more loosely. either way, supposing it is some kind of tendon you would see more tendons coming from the same source, going to different parts of the neck or face.
the lip sync is a bit choppy, but i assume its just meant for joke anyways.

Thanks for the reply. That skin flap has been a real pain in the a$$. At this point I'm just trying to learn the lip sync and animation movements. I think I tried to have him pronounce to much and the lip sync gets to fast. This was just having fun till I write the actual script he will say, I wanted to see if my morphs where any good. Thanks again for the input.

It is a good idea, the problem how would he turn his head attached to his neck like that? And his eyes look a little fake, you might want to work on them a little more.
