Gotta love the theme for this competition. There was way to many ideas and mythical characters flashing through my head..but unfortunatly I cant do all of them. So for now, I will stick with this idea and sketch based on the Chinese mythical creature the Dancing Dragon.

Ok...here is my second sketch. Thinking of how the mechanical parts and the exoskeleton should look. Trying to vision where all of the steampunk details should go. Dragons are pretty tough to do. I'll save the storyline until I get all of my sketches drawn up.

this seems really a good start and an interesting concept...I'm so curious to see how it will evolve!
Good luck!!

Thanks! Yeah... time is my enemy, but I'll keep pushing on. Hopefully it'll turn out as good as I imagined it.

Side view of the Dancing Dragon standing on the edge of a cliff. Now that I have the basic shape of the dragons all thought out, its time to start on the mechanical figure thats controlling them. Actually a small army of people will be running this thing. But the center figure will be in the likeness of an ancient emperor.

Been away for a while enjoying the holiday. Now that we only have a week left, I have to really get this thing moving. Heres a concept of the flying vessel. Its equiped with a ball and chain, which acts as a battering ram for larger enemies.

I think I got a little carried away with this concept. Hope I'll enough time to finish modeling him. There goes my weekend:(

Yes! Just when I was about to give up! Glad I checked in, I already waisted two days. Heres an arm study for the dragons. Trying to figure out how I can make this thing rotate..just in case I decide to animate it.

Another sketch of the temple sitting high on the mountain tops. Now that I have time to finish modeling it..I might add some fire damage to them. I'll try to make it look as if the dancing dragon just left the area scorched in flames.
