This is my very first project with unwrapping!!! it has added alot! (previously, i was using strictly procedural maps)

i know there are flaws, so please, point them, out! If you tell me what to improve, i'll get better!

Please critique me!

I like it! The dirtying up of textures is well accomplished I think, as is the material on the model. One thing, though, the bump mapping becomes a little obvious in the side views, especially on the lettering. But thumbs up from me overall!

could you explain what you mean by the bumpmap being obvious? It would be great to improve this. i think i know what you mean, though. Are you talking about the lettering on the side views not being three-dimensional?

if so, i tried to apply a displacement map for the lettering, but it somehow only got applied to the middle one. (you might be able to tell)

i didn't notice this until the image was on the gallery. :blush:

That is what I meant. I figured that it was bump mapping because the lettering on the side views was not three-dimensional. But now that you clarified about the displacement map being there on the middle one and not the side ones, I see my error.

ah, okay.

I wish i could re-render it with the displacement on all and re-upload now... :banghead:
