Hi everyone,

I've been putting off making a sketchbook thread for a long time, mainly because I'm intimidated by 98% of the work posted here- even those who claim they're not very good right now. My style looks pretty different from everything else here (either that or I just suck), but lets finally get on with it, shall we?

These are sketches I did at Body Worlds (or as I like to call it, Extreme Life Drawing Class). It was amazing. I drew with a little notebook and pencil they provided.

hey
good start!!
i would recommend you start off with some good books on anatomy for human body..and do alot of gesture sketching.it'l seem hard work at first but as you get used to it it'l become your 2nd nature.
also i would recommend you dont look much for style at this point..style will come automatically when your foundation is established..there are some workshops done here in past i would recommend them to you.go through them and do any many of them as possible.
hope to see you around :wavey:

Thanks killermachine!

Here are some drawings I did in line and charcoal in my figure drawing class. I think I'm getting a lot better.

This was an exercise in quality of line.

Hi
nice gesture sketches... always keep doing these at regular times.

One thing you may want to try is to draw from the shoulder as much as possible, rather than from the wrist. It will improve the fluidity of your lines/strokes

Keep practicing daily! It's the key to success!

Thanks a lot, NR43! Sounds like good advice.
