When you add a PLA track to an object that is the target of particle, the time parameters (age or count or anything related to time) is completly out of order.

The PLA deformation works fine though. What can I do to keep active time properties ? Why the hell PLA is affecting the way particles stick to my surface in time ??
here is the expresso :

and here are the two different movies

with PLA (http://pasto.tv/PLA.mov)

without PLA (http://pasto.tv/noPLA.mov)

Sadie ?
help...

Hi,
PLA is no deformator but a real change in the geometry of an object.
PSurfacePosition as well as PVolumePosition calculate the position of particles by using the geometrie. The goal is to get an even random distribution. When the geometrie changes, the resulting positions will be different.
You will have to use the position of the points of an object to stick particles to it in a uniform way, no matter what happens to the mesh. Alternatively you can use deformers which will work just fine since the original geometry of the object will not be changed.
Hope this helps

thanx a lot Srek.

But you saw that geometry changes without any change in the PLA track (just one keyfrme in it).

I will try to use the points directly.

If you weren't there, you and sadie, I couldn't do any TP work. If you come to france this summer I must pay you a restaurant or a thousand beers.

OK Srek,

how to get the position of all points of an object ? point node will take only one ! I tried to modify your splinealign expresso but without succes.

thanx a lot

Hi Pasto,
have a look here
www.bonkers.de/download/tpandpla.zip (http://www.bonkers.de/download/tpandpla.zip)
for an example that fixes particles to point positions.
Hope this helps

Thanx so much.
Looks like it is more difficult than I thought.
