Does anyone know of a zip-a-tone plugin or filter for photoshop? I've tried some stuff with halftone with limited success the problem is it keeps giving me shades of gray. I'd greatly apreciate it if someone could help me out with this.

Not sure what you mean by "zip-a-tone" (my search on google wasn't very helpful!)... does it have something to do with the dotted, transparent layers used in comics?
Cause if it's that, I'm sure I've seen a plugin somewhere... have to look it up though!

Maybe you could point us to an example of the look you're trying to achieve?

The last one is pretty neat as well. :D

you could also try using the filter-pixelate-color halftone for different dotted effects. It works pretty good on blends even...try different settings on one color and you might get what you are looking for
