CGTalk - lizard man wip

Hey everybody, here is a sketch I am working on.

In this concept, I want to design a lizard/man in Arabian/Indian clothing. I haven't added in clothing patterns. He can fume a poisonous gas from his mouth, or use a dagger.

I simply want some design suggestions because I want him to be more unique, and more formidable a foe.

Any suggestions?

That floppy hat with the big gem, and the curled toed shoes, really don't say 'formidable' to me. How about something more like this?

Okay, he was Persian, not Indian, but since we're talking about lizard people I figured historical accuracy wasn't high on your list of priorities. =P (This is "an artistic rendering of Hassan-i Sabbah, founder of the Hashashin," according to Wikipedia).
