Thank you for your posts everybody! I decided to use so famous HDR to help everybody to judge quality of reflections on the model's surface - it is more easy when you know particular HDR - this help to understand level of quality deeper.

Awesome! The chair texture on the bottom left picture looks a little stretched or something.

Darkendshadow, this is just because of very wide angle of camera.

Outstanding! Clean model and renders are unbelievable, I'd reduce relfections though just a tiny bit by maybe 20% IMHO (but that's just nitpicking). Keep on rocking!:applause:

LashkoAlex, yes I also thought about reducing reflection, but main aim of movie is to show quality of model so I decided keep it at current level :).

Wow, looks better than the models already in GT5 Prologue, or is it just me?
You can see edges on polys at the full sized renders (and as I can see in any game, normal mapping stepping), but your modelling skills/normal mapping skills have really done the car justice.

Glad that you noticed! Yes, we are really making models better than Polyphony Digital in the same poly budget. They are using not good methods (we saw their's wire) that not allow achieve best quality and maximum efficiency. Possible we will produce models for them, if not - any other company will be happy with our models - they will get models better than in GT5.

INfinit-3D, first high poly was build - 3.2 mln, then optimised to low poly. For some parts of high poly even 3x mesh smooth was used. But it is possible of course to build such model without first building high poly - we just was need high poly too.

realy nice rendering ! you'v rendered once or composed after?

ProperGraphics
12-23-2008, 09:29 AM
Erigo, this is complete scene with 3d ground, so no composing was done, but of course some post processing was done in Photoshop - levels, color balance etc.

i'm somehow, new.. to Max ,its something that reduces the count of polys without "braking" the car? or manual made this optimising step :surprised ......

ProperGraphics
12-23-2008, 10:04 AM
INfinit-3D, such quality possible only with manual optimization.
