Title: Tuscany
Name: Holger Schoemann
Country: Germany
Software: CINEMA 4D, VRay

A look into an old town in the tuscany (italy). All modeling are done with Cinema4D R11. The textures use bitmaps from cgtextures which I modify to my need. All rooftiles (about 12000) are made out of geometry and be placed into the scene via mograph and vray-proxies. The rendering was done with VRay 1.1 for Cinema4D.

very, very nice

any reason why you are not using the new render engine for C4D.

Well done!

The balance of the lit/dark areas a bit off for my taste. Have you tried it with a different direction of light?

Anyway, your image has great level of detail, and it's a really nice work. Thumbs up!

Good texturing / lighting :)
Only thing that bugs me is that the lines are too straight for that kind of aged constructions, especially on that front & lite smaller house. But still good image :)

I love the scene and your lighting is good!

just s small suggestion, everything looks too sharp and clean in the scene, try not to have sharp edges for modeling the scene, it make the objects looks less real, textures can have a layer of dirt on it to make more realistic looking.
